Ransomville Historical Building
Located in the Old Post Office behind the Ransomville Free Library at 3733 Ransomville Road, in Ransomville NY 14131.  Displays are shown of all local history of this hamlet.

Curently, Farms, and Families will be exhibited until December.  We change our displays every 9 months.  There is a Patriots Gallery featuring servicemens uniforms from World War I and II.  Many pictures of servicemen from every branch of the service are also on display.

One of our biggest displays is WOMEN from RANSOMVILLE and MEN of Distinction of Ransomville. Displays of the Ransom family, after who the hamlet was named and of the Curtiss family and their poultry business are always out to be seen.  The WHH Ransom mercantile store was in business on the south west corner of Rt. 93 and Ransomville Road for about 100 years.  The counter and glass case are a paart of a permanent display.

In 1992 there was a celebration of 175 years of the beginning of Ransomville.  Many people signed a quilt with their family names, this is hung in the main part of the Museum.

We have memorabilia from every business, organization, church and local families.
